Who We Are
Types Of Data We Collect
Although we sell yummy Cornish biscuits, website cookies aren’t as tasty. A website cookie is a small text file that stores internet settings. Almost every website uses them. The cookie is downloaded by your internet browser the first time you visit a website. The next time you visit this website from the same device, the cookie and the information in it are either sent back to the originating website (first-party cookies) or to another website to which it belongs (third-party cookies). The website can then tell that it has been opened before using that browser, and in some cases it will then vary the content it shows.
Some cookies are extremely useful because they can improve your user experience when you return to a website you have already visited. This assumes that you are using the same device and the same browser as before; if so, cookies will remember your preferences, will know how you use the website, and will adapt the content you are shown so that it is more relevant to your personal interests and needs.
If you would rather not use or save cookies onto your device then you should take go into your web browser’s security settings and block all cookies from this website and its external serving vendors or use the cookie control system if available.
We use Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour pattern from all visits to our website. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website
We do not offer customer WiFi.
When you place an order via our online shop, (yay! thank you!), none of the personal information provided to us for the purpose of fulfilling your order (name, addresses, email, telephone, payment details etc) is added to any database or mailing list. That personal information is only needed so that we can send your lovely things out to you and will absolutely not be used for any other purposes. Our online shop is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall.
All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by us (currently Stripe and PayPal) adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.
If you purchase tickets from us for any events that we run throughout the year this information will be stored physically in writing in the shop, much like a restaurant uses a diary to take bookings. The only information we may collect from you for these purposes is your name, number of tickets being purchased, any dietary requirements (if applicable) and your telephone number so that we can notify you if anything changes. None of this data is retained beyond the date of the event and is not shared with anyone else.
We do not share our customers’ personal data with any other individual, organisation or body.
